PAN - Ayarza represents Panama at Basketball Without Borders camp

PANAMA (Basketball Without Borders) - 18 years old Josimar Ayarza (6'9") from Panama's U21 National Team will selected to represent Panama in the FIBA/NBA Basketball Without Borders Camp to be held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, from June 30 until July 4 2005.

The player was selected by the Panamian Basketball Federation and FIBA International Development Manager Mr. Lavodrama.

At the 2004 camp Panama was represented by Daniel King and Eduardo Archibold.

The program, a basketball instructional camp for young people that also promotes friendship, healthy living and education, features current and former FIBA/NBA players and team personnel as camp coaches.  To date, more than 440 youngsters from 72 different countries and territories have taken part in the NBA and FIBA program.

NBA players like Emanuel Ginóbili, San Antonio Spurs; Andrés Nocioni, Chicago Bulls; Carlos Delfino, Detroit Pistons; Dikembe Mutumbo, Houston Rockets, native of Congo; Samuel Dalembert, Philadelphia 76ers and born in Haití; Eduardo Nájera, Denver Nuggets, Mexico; Dominican Luis Felipe López, Ambassador of NBA Community Relations; Marcelo Melanesio,and Juan -Pepe- Sánchez, Tau Cerámica. Also coaches like Rolando Blackman, Alvin Gentry, Tony Ronzone and Michael Malone will assist in the camp.
